Who we are

About Us

A reputation built on technical excellence, practical insight, and independence held firmly.

Our story

Founded in 2024, with a narrow and deliberate mandate

FRAG provides expert solutions in financial reporting, audit, and financial management, serving both private and public sector organisations navigating financial governance in a shifting economic and regulatory environment.

Since inception we have established a reputation for technical excellence, practical insight, and an unwavering commitment to our clients' success. That work is driven by a conviction that robust financial reporting, effective internal controls, and sound financial management are the cornerstones of sustainable development, public accountability, and investor confidence.

We hold specialised expertise in the practical application of IFRS for private sector entities and IPSAS for public sector organisations, and we treat the distinction between them seriously. Public sector reporting is not private sector reporting with different labels, and advice that ignores this tends to fail at audit.

Our knowledge of the local landscape — the Public Finance Management Act, the Constitution of Zimbabwe, the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, and the monetary policy environment — positions us to guide organisations through IFRS implementation, IPSAS adoption, hyperinflation accounting, and sustainability reporting as they are actually encountered here.

Two frameworks, treated separately

IFRS and IPSAS are not interchangeable

Public sector reporting is not private sector reporting with different labels. Revenue from non-exchange transactions, service concession arrangements, and the treatment of heritage assets have no direct private sector equivalent.

Advice that flattens the distinction tends to fail at audit. We staff engagements with the framework in mind from the first meeting, not the last.

Leadership and governance

Independent oversight, technical execution

FRAG is governed by a Board of five Non-Executive Directors whose experience spans finance, public sector governance, auditing, risk management, law and strategic leadership.

The Board provides strategic oversight, keeping our services aligned with national priorities, international best practice, and the highest standards of corporate governance. Its members provide independent judgment and challenge — collective expertise spanning the public and private sectors, including former senior government officials, experienced audit partners, and recognised thought leaders in financial reporting.

Executive

Director — Operations

Responsible for overall strategic direction, operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and delivery of all advisory and training services. The role oversees business development, client relationship management, resource allocation, and the integration of services across all divisions.

Executive

Director — Technical Services

Provides technical leadership across the organisation, ensuring advisory outputs, training content and educational programmes meet the highest standards of accuracy and relevance. This is the primary authority on IFRS, IPSAS, hyperinflation accounting (IAS 29), sustainability reporting standards (ISSB, GRI, SASB, TCFD), regulatory pronouncements, and audit quality assurance.

Quality assurance

How we keep the work reliable

Quality is a process, not a claim. These are the internal controls that sit behind everything we issue.

  • Peer review of all technical outputs before release.
  • Continuous professional development for every team member.
  • Client feedback and satisfaction monitoring across engagements.
  • Regular updates to training content and advisory methodologies as standards evolve.
  • Compliance with professional standards and applicable ethical codes.
